Pa o’Dwyer Strongman,Tributes to Limerick Lion’ and Ireland’s strongest man
Just three days into 2026, the strength community is heartbroken by the passing of Team Cerberus athlete Pa O’Dwyer. A titan of strongman, Pa was a Limerick powerhouse who dominated the sport with a rare combination of sheer power and vibrant character.
Pa’s competitive record speaks to his legendary status: a five-time Ireland’s Strongest Man and the second Irishman ever to claim the UK’s Strongest Man title. He proudly represented his nation on the world’s toughest stage, competing among the elite at World’s Strongest Man events. Yet, beyond the trophies and massive lifts, Pa will be remembered for his immense heart and indomitable spirit. He inspired countless fans and fellow athletes with his dedication and passion, both in training and in life.

Pa was one of a kind. Off the platform, he was known for his wicked sense of humour and his fearless stance against online bullies and trolls, regularly using his voice to champion decency. He had a profound ability to lift spirits as effortlessly as he lifted weights.
Pa O’Dwyer will be sorely missed. Our deepest thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this unimaginable time. Thank you for everything, Pa, from all of us at Cerberus Strength.
RIP Pa.
